The cottage enjoys an elevated position on the owner’s property and is conveniently located along the Cotswold Way, making this cottage a must for walkers. From the door enjoy walks along Edge Common with views across to Painswick. Spend some time enjoying this quaint village with its beautiful church and the unique 18th-century Rococo Gardens. Be sure to schedule some time to visit the popular town of Stroud (3.5 miles) with its famous farmers' market taking place every Saturday. The town is brimming with independent shops, cafes and galleries set against the dramatic backdrop of the beautiful five valleys. Cheltenham (16 miles) is easily accessible to enjoy a day at the races or shopping in the many boutiques. After a busy day exploring the area, return to your rural hideaway and relax in comfort. As you enter the property, you are greeted with a spacious entrance to kick off your walking boots and hang up your coat. Head straight into the open-plan lounge/diner which is finished to a high standard throughout. The kitchen area is fully equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge, separate ice box, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave and dishwasher. There is a dining table to seat four. The cottage benefits from underfloor heating making it a perfect choice for a cosy break away. There is a secluded, enclosed outdoor decked area that can be accessed through patio doors from the lounge/diner. The area has outdoor seating and a dining area with charcoal BBQ and benefits from a hot tub. Spend the evening enjoying a drink whilst taking in the beautiful views across the valley. There is parking for two cars at the front of the property.
Situated midway between the market town of Stroud and the historic city of Gloucester the property sits on a tranquil hillside holding magnificent views over the Severn Vale, spectacular Malvern hills and the Royal Forest of Dean.

With walking trails in every direction, you will be spoiled for choice but be sure to try the Haresfield Beacon circular, which is managed by the National Trust, and takes in many archaeological features, woodlands and of course breathtaking views. The town of Stroud (3.5 miles) is well worth a visit for its famous farmers' market and independent shops all with the wonderful backdrop of the Five Valleys. Gloucester (6.5 miles) can be reached easily and is a vibrant, multicultural city. Head up to the loft via a staircase to the rear of the larger property and into the entrance. You will be welcomed into the spacious open-plan living space comprising the kitchen, dining area and lounge. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and Nespresso coffee machine. There is a dining table for two and the lounge area has comfortable sofas and features a wood burner effect electric fire and a Smart TV - perfect for relaxing and watching a movie after a day of exploring. Off this open-plan space is a separate bedroom with a king-size bed and an en-suite with a shower and WC. There is a small seating area outside at the entrance to the stairway with a table and chairs with views across the valley. There is parking at the front of the property for one car.
